It's been a long road since the founding of Team Unlimited in the Fall of 2002, 6th graders facing the City Sights FLL challenge. They participated in eight seasons of FIRST competition (the FLL No Limits! and the FVC "FIRST Frenzy" demo season overlapped), and they have accomplished a lot in that time. Alex (Northeastern University), Benjamin (Bowdoin College), Nick (Boston University), Omer (Union College) and Patrick (Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute) all graduated from Sharon High School in the spring of 2009, and have gone on to great success in their chosen colleges!
They had three very successful seasons in the FLL program, with many awards to their credit. They represented Massachusetts at the World Championship in the Mission Mars season.
They were chosen to be part of the FIRST Vex Challenge demonstration season (FVC team 13), and competed in the two following pilot seasons (FVC team 13 and FVC 2013) as well as the following FIRST Tech Challenge seasons (FTC team 1). They were at the FIRST World Championship every year since the spring of 2004! In the 2006-7, 2007-8, and the 2008-9 seasons, they achieved the MA Championship Inspire Award, and were finalists for the Inspire Award at the World Championship each of these seasons as well. They received the "Potential Unlimited" Judges Award at the 2008-9 World Championship in recognition of their contributions to the FTC program.
