Post-event:

Team Unlimited is pleased to advance to the MA FTC Championship, along with 5 other excellent FTC teams.  We achieved a second-place finish for the Inspire Award, and were the captain of the Finalist Alliance.

Inspection times are listed below.  Hopefully this schedule will work for all teams. Please come with your robot ready for inspection. If you cannot pass by9:30 you will not be allowed to compete.

Enter parking lot off of Waltham Street you will see signs and most importantly the field house.

 

Reminders:

  • Please remember your safety glass. They must be worn at all times in the pits and in the competition area.

  • Please wear rubber soled shoes.  We are in the Field house with rubber floors.

  • Need power?  Bring a power strip!

  • Bring a typed copy of your bill of materials to Hardware Inspection (you will not pass without it).

  • The BOM should include (for non-Tetrix or non-Matrix parts) the Part Description, the part Number, and the rule or Forum Reference allowing the part.

  • Your Engineering notebook will be left at the registration desk. It must have your team number on the cover.

  • Safety glasses or side shields for everyone on the team (including visitors)

  • Power strip

  • Robot with Samantha (don’t forget the power cord), flag holder, and numbers (3” tall, 0.5” stroke width and in a contracting color from the background)

The pits are closed for everyone during opening ceremony

 

One mentor should bring the following to check-in and pick up the team package:

  • Engineering Notebook with team number on the cover  (Include 2ndcopy of Bill of Material)

  • Printed copy of the roster or signed consent form for every team member

 

Pit Judging will begin at 8:00 am

Please leave a student that knows the team schedule in the pit at all times.

Inspection and matches are valid excuses for team absence for judging; the practice field is not.

 

Hardware and Software Inspections 

  1. Teams should start inspection as soon as possible.

  2. Inspections must be complete prior to opening ceremony.

  3. A completed Bill of Materials (part numbers are required for all COTS parts) is required at Hardware Inspection for every team.

  4. Review the allowed parts list in the game manual and the Game Forum!

  5. Program Chooser must be loaded on the NXT.

 

Please review the Game Rules and advise team guests:

No Team, Team Member or Event Attendee is allowed to set up their own

Wi-Fi802.11a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz or 5GHz) wireless communication

Non-allowed wireless communications include, but are not limited to:

  • Cellular Hotspots (e.g.cell phones, tablets, MiFi)

  • Ad-hoc networks.

  • Nintendo DS peer-to-peer.

  • Bluetooth communication with robots in the competition or pit area
